Tom Laffay
Tom Laffay is an independent filmmaker based in Bogotá, and is a recipient of the inaugural 2020 Andrew Berends Fellowship. SIONA: Amazon’s Defenders Under Threat, commissioned by The New Yorker, is an intimate portrait of Siona leader Adiela Mera Paz who works to clear landmines from her ancestral territory in hope that her people may one day return.
